In this regard, it's hard to see much daylight between the two.

Obama also seems enamored with foreign adventures. Continuation of Iraq & Afghanistan + Libya adventure + potential Syria adventure*.

And Obama reneged on his renegotiation of NAFTA treaty. He then proceded to complete the two Free Trade Agreements (with South Korea and Colombia) negotiated during Bush’s tenure.

And let's not forget reneging on closing Guantanamo Bay promise.

Just saying liberal folks seem quite willing to give him a pass or no criticism.

There are several similarities between Dubya & Obama but then Dubya was/is no conservative.
non-defense discretionary spending will have skyrocketed by almost 28 percent. Government agencies that Republicans were calling to be abolished less than ten years ago, such as education and labor, have enjoyed jaw-dropping spending increases under Bush of 70 percent and 65 percent respectively.

And let not forget the biggest entitlement creation in 50 years [well until Obamacare] by Bush-- medicare Part-D.

Bush was excoriated over @ RECF board for his spendy & big gov't ways. Not that that stopped them from voting for his re-election. They still believe in voting for the lessor of two evils over there. tj has returned to voting fer the libertarian party in 2004 after a absence 28 years.

After public criticism of proposal that lets government agencies warrantlessly access Americans' e-mail, Sen. Patrick Leahy says he will "not support" such an idea at next week's vote.

Hmm... shine the light on "security at any cost or loss of freedom" roaches & they run for the drain.
