CBSMarketWatch had an interesting article on repealing the "marriage tax" and eliminating "death taxes"

The article doesn't mention if "the eimination of the stepped-up basis at death" is still included in the bill. This was included in the Senate version and will likely mean that those with estates SMALLER THAN $1 million will pay more in taxes than they do under current law.

The article closes with the observation that once the marriage penalty is eliminated, we can start worrying about the "single penalty."
