I tried this over on the Ask A Foolish Question Board, but I think it got lost in the 66K+ posts. I'll try here:

OK, as a first time poster to the FAQ, I did my obligitory search on the above string and received no hits, so here goes...

On the "Insider Trading" screen that pops up from the "Company Information" page, there are values for the amount of shares transacted that are in parenthesis for Open Market Sales. The planned sales have none.

What does this mean? Is the Open market sale a buy (ala negative earnings #'s)? Or visa versa? Or am I all wet?!

I didn't find any explanation on the First Call link.
