In looking at the Insider Trading of various companies, I found two sets of terms that seem to be very similar, if not the same.

The first set is "acquisition" and "market purchase"

The second set is "grant or gift" and "disposition" ...in other words, is the grant to an insider from the company and a gift some amount of stock to someone else? And, is a disposition the same as a sale?

I'm new to all this and this is pretty confusing.
