Intellisync 5.1 software offers significant new functionality, including synchronization of e-mail attachments, support for Microsoft Outlook Express software, and the ability to conduct live updates to Intellisync via the Web.

As part of the installation process, it checks the Web to determine if the user is installing the most recent version of the software and enables download of any updates that are available. The Live Update feature functions for 30 days after product registration, or for a longer period if the user is a member of Pumatech's Premier Subscription Service. The software also checks the Web periodically after installation for availability of newer versions and is able to facilitate a download if prompted by the user.
