I recently received some advice to invest some 20 percent of my IRAs in bonds, to balance my possibly too-aggressive equity allocations (I'm 56, single/separated). It was suggested I put 10% in US bonds and 10% in international bonds --in funds with a relatively short duration, 2.5 years.

I will likely use a Vanguard fund for US bonds. Can anyone name a fund or funds that invests in international bonds?

Thanks for any thoughts.
