Say there's a business that's dominated by two big players. They've been around for years and will likely still be around for many years to come. Take, for instance Home Depot and Lowe's. Both are leaders in the big box store home improvement market, both have similar businesses, etc. Is there any drawback to investing in both of them equally? I'm looking for problems or strengths with the strategy/concept, not specifically those two businesses.
