Hi all. This is the closest board I could find for asking a question about buying land. I was wondering if anyone knew how well land has returned historically against the stock market. It seems to me that true diversification means not putting all of one's money in the stock market. I was thinking of someday buying land in north Georgia, where eventually Atlanta will sprawl. Land is more expensive to buy than stocks, and takes time to sell, but with some land the returns have been phenomenal - at least in areas which are growing. Thanks.
