I recently listened to the RB RM audio book. They said that every IPO that "Kliener Perkfield and Buyers" has underwritten has opened higher than expected. Since I have the audio book I think that the spelling of the undrwriter is wrong. Does someone have the correct spelling. It seems like one strategy would be to try to find out when these guys are underwriting an IPO and investing in the company. Does anybody know how I could find this information out, or have any thoughts on this strategy? Are there other underwriters that have a history of great success with thier IPO's?

Hi Snoozeu,

It's Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Beyers. You can find out more info on them at their web-site : http://www.kpcb.com/.

Hope this helps a little,
Lou

Here's a link to a list of IPO underwriters, in case you want to do some research.
