Hi, everyone! i just found this board, and boy and i'm happy! i hope you all are just the folks to answer my question.

i was already to open a ROTH IRA, and a quiet little voice said to me, it said, "wait! don't you have to be employed, like, on someone's payroll and all to open an IRA?"

so, was this little voice right? or should i fire it? :-)

i am self-employed/freelancing right now. what are my options?
