Hello, can someone help me understand the tax law on an ira. I presently have mine set up with my wife as beneficiary, and a will stating that she is my beneficiary. If I die before she does, can she "roll over" my ira into hers and not pay inheritance tax?
Thanks for the help!

There is an unlimited marital exclusion for estate taxes. You can leave your wife a gazillion dollars and she would not have to pay estate taxes. There may be a question of income taxes dependant on the type of IRA but that question is best answered by others on this board that know more about it than me.
