Is it for the *freebie* nights?

Is it because you are already a Marriott frequent flyer and want extra perks?

I will become a Marriott frequent flyer. Already have 12 nights of stay completed in a month and over the next couple of months will probably hit Gold status and foresee spending at least a minimum of 100 nights at a Marriott in 2012.

Right now Chase is offering a 70K bonus + 1 free night and if I make use of this card I'd get 5 points for every dollar spent at a Marriott, which I personally think is a phenomenal offer.

What can this card do for you that another (no-fee, no frills) card cannot?

The perks mentioned above, I don't think any other card even comes close to what Chase can offer with the partnership they have with Marriott. The annual fee far outweighs the points that I would accumulate if I were to get this card. Or am I mistaken?

I too pay off all my credit cards in full, sometimes even before the card cycles.

I wish I had seen this offer from Chase before applying for the Starwood Preferred Guest card from Amex. I might end up cancelling that and applying for this one instead.

Thanks for your response t!
