Growing up in Halifax, VA (Rural south central Virginia) in the 40's & 50's, one of the obvious great pleasures of a young teenager's life was hunting. I learned a lot from sitting around a campfire or in a hunting lodge, by, as my Dad taught me, to listen and not talk much.

There was a very familiar saying when nothing was happening in the woods that went " Time to "wet down" (euphuism) the fire and call in the dogs. It looks like that may be the case with vlo at this point.
