Is there some place on Fooldom (or elsewhere) where I could find the average S&P 500 return for the last 5 and 10 years?

Hi Krissylou,

After all the great information you already received I still have a couple of suggestions to make. We have a new Area called; The Truth about Mutual funds at: http://www.fool.com/money/mutualfunds/mutualfunds.htm that's great and well worth reading.

If you have any other questions about Mutual Funds just post a message on the fund message board at: http://boards.fool.com/Messages.asp?id=1030021000000000

The SEC also introduced a mutual fund calculator that you may want to use. If so, just go to: http://www.sec.gov/news/mfcalc.htm

Finally, in one of our recent Harry Jones report, TMF Jeff wrote about the fees mutual funds charge and what one should look out for. You can read it at: http://www.fool.com/portfolios/HarryJones/1999/HarryJones990624.htm I hope this helps and good luck to you.

Keep Foolish and prosper,

Spirit
