I've been slowly looking into corporate bonds lately, and I've come to the realization that I don't have the time and inclination to do justice to the subject. I currently own no bonds.

The iShares website has information on one of their funds called the InvesTop Corporate Bond Fund, ticker symbol LQD. The expense ratio is only 0.15%

I'm aware of the risk to capital associated with bond funds in a rising interest rate environment. However, it seems to me that corporates would be less sensitive to this, since new issues would have to be issued with a higher coupon rate.

This fund seems like a straightforward way to invest in corporate bonds without having to got through all of the work associated with analyzing individual bonds.

Any thoughts or experience with this fund?
