It is interesting to see an individual lionized for decades of good decisions, suddenly having shareholders wishing he'd be quiet....

It's not exactly new that Republican Berkshire Hathaway stockholders / fans / hangers-on become annoyed with Buffett's loud Democratic pronouncements, so your "suddenly" qualifier is incorrect. I, for example, have for years wished he would keep his nose out of politics and concentrate on running the company. But he will do what he will do.

You say you've been following Buffett for 20 years but you have never noticed this?
