It is more a question of powers than rights. As was said elsewhere if it is at the state level then you can choose the state with the "best" system and go with that, but at the federal level you have to leave the country.

The argument you are making is valid for buying grocery, or choosing the location of your house. Not valid for government services. Telling folks to move our of a state is not a reason for why a state can have certain powers but not federal level.

"one-size-fits-all" mandated federal policy is going to cause problems everywhere.

Most if not all government programs are basically one size fits-all solutions only. They are not tailored for individual needs and tastes. The only requirement is to protect individual rights.

As far as the rest of your arguments, I don't see how they make a point of why a federal single payer system is wrong compared to state level single payer program.
