It is necessary to itemize and only the amount of miscellaneous deductions that exceed 2% of your income are deductible.

Darnit. I thought the 2% limit meant the deductions were limited to 2% of your income, but it actually means the deductions are limited to those costs that exceed 2% of your income. Oh well, there goes writing off TMF Subscriptions.
