The great mistake of Mr. Obama's first term was putting his social and political agenda above nurturing a faster economic recovery. It nearly cost him re-election, even against a weak opponent. I think the weak economy coupled with him hooking people on entitlements because of the weak economy helped get him elected. A vote for Romney was, in their mind, a vote to end the gravy train. To some the best social program is a job, to others the best social program is a social program.
