It might be worth envisioning situations in which a standard technology is desirable but impractical - such as the the reported UPS trial, where I would assume they're projecting information concerning packages on a wall of the truck (?), rather than putting a console in place. Let's see, such environments are those in which the electronics of a large display are too frail or vulnerable; where the display area is too small; possibly where the EM environment is too polluted (would be it be possible to shield a projector in those circumstances?). Contraindications would be a polluted visible spectrum. How much power does it consume? Interesting. Too much of a headache to think of other scenarios.

I've been following MVIS since I read an article in MIT Review of Tech, many many years ago, but didn't buy until a bit more than a year ago. Definitely speculative.
