It' will be a nice day trip, there's a fairly new Visitor's Center, the Rangers will let you know what's up... If you were up for a BBQ, grab a sack at the local Oyster Company, head for Heart's Desire beach, and have at 'em.. Else there's a few restaurants in Pt Reyes Station, or further up, Nick's Cove... But in the park, bring what you need, no food facilities.. Many trails, but to tell the truth, we've not done them ourselves other than short hikes around the Visitor Center ot out to the lighthouse...

Marin Headlands, or the Marine Mammal Center a bit South may be of interest, depending on the weather...

Up the coast, Bodega Bay, Sonoma Coast Beaches, Fort Ross (weekends)a nicely restored Russian Fort from their days in the area.. In fact in September, a bunch of Russian Craftsmen are installing a wooden windmill their Village built and gave to Fort Ross, so there are various events in September, October..

Best Dungeness Crab, Bodega Bays Crab Shack (closed Wednesdays) on the road to Bodega Head...

On future trips you might consider staying at either Bodega Bay or further up at Gualala or home rentals at the Sea Ranch... Easy day trips to Mendocino, as well as lots of nice bluff trails, beaches... Use any agency in Gualala...

Enjoy Napa! But don't miss our Sonoma County Wines either..
