It's about as ugly as I've seen. Why would you want to participate at that...for almost any price??

25% of the companies revenue, and almost 50% of the profit is from the jet engine business this is nice business with a very deep moat. I do not see big airlines buying Chinese engines. Are you going to ride on an airplane with Chinese engines? Maybe in twenty years, but not sooner for me.

The engine business will make a about $6 billion this year or about 4 times what CPC was making when Buffett paid $37 billion for what would appear to be a comparable company. Engine business might all by itself be worth over $100 billion.

GE has dumped a lot trash in the last five years, and has retained some good business. It may be to soon to buy, because there may be more bad news ahead, but if it gets cheaper and they can sell some more of the bad stuff, who knows?

They have certainly cleaned the balance sheet nicely in the last five years.
