While I don’t pay attention anymore to the stock market anymore, occasionally something will make me go hummmm. Crude oil at 50.00 ish? Perhaps oil companies can quit laying off employees.
My daughter took advantage of BP’s severance package. It had been many years since there was a career path with all the layoffs. Her package was generous.
She is two weeks into lay-off when her first round bubble all came down with Covid. They are recovering. Kendra is liking the no taste no smell symptom. The only thing she can taste is Bailys on ice. The person whose pill can mimic those symptoms will make a fortune.
I continue to boost local economy. Bought a brand new crv. My 2003 Subaru, 225,000 is miles was still running. Driving over 40mph was like riding a noisy lawnmower. Took me a week or so to adjust to all the fracking technology. When I finally pulled into a gas station, it was more than double mpg than I got in my Subaru.
Used the low interest rates to refinance my house.
Painter comes end of month to paint my entire interior.
Had we known the shutdowns would last so long we would have bought paint stock. My painter has never had so much work. Standing in line in a paint store, 35 minutes.
I have not used this stuck at home time to do anything useful. All my volunteering came to a halt. I didn’t write a novel, learn to sew or knit, do zoom workouts.
I am working ever so slowly on de cluttering in advance of painter.
Oh, and I am having a hard time ignoring my trumpster neighbors.
