It's really great you have your credit cards paid off.

From a practical standpoint, I think you should start working on a tentative budget for the baby expenses. It's been nearly two decades since I was last pregnant, but I think even with insurance we had to cough up a chunk to the hospital and dr.

Check with friends and relatives as to what you can borrow or buy from them. You really don't want to run up the cards again. You can also get maternity and baby clothes at thrift or consignment stores and consign them back when you finish with them. It is tempting to get everything all new and all. Will you use a diaper service or disposables? If the latter, start saving coupons a few months before your due date.

As to the car, I almost always recommend a used Civic.
