I've never been called lazy, but is that the case here? I am well versed in Excel and automating spreadsheets, but not to the point of entering a symbol and having all the numbers flow into the sheet (from where?) which would be pretty cool.

I am the author. It is a free open-source add-in for EXCEL that gathers information from the web for you. I just recently uploaded templates that include all of the financial statements data from Yahoo and MSN. All you need to do is enter a ticker symbol on the worksheet, and it will go out and grab all of the individual data items. The formulas should be easily portable to another workbook if you want to create your own custom information sheet, or comparison sheet.

The add-in, documentation, and a number of templates can be found in the files area.
