I've read other postings from people shying away from the high yields of LPs due to the added complexity of the additional tax forms you need to file. My experience is that the companies do a good job of making it pretty easy.

I've got to echo Ira on this one. There are a few LPs who provide good information to their partners. There are a great many more who send a K-1 and no more. They drop all of the tax compliance in the partner's lap with only the minimum required guidance.

In this sense you were lucky to have your first experience with one of the organizers that makes it easier for their partners.
