I've run across plenty of "ivy leaguers" in my career. Overall unimpressed.

I've worked with 2 PhDs from MIT.

One was absolutely as impressive as you would expect.

The other was a moron with delusions of grandeur based upon his academic credentials. He expected everyone to immediately go along with everything he said simply because he said it - regardless of the quality of the remark or the quality of any other comments.

I don't know how the second guy got through MIT's graduate school because he would not have made it in my own state school's graduate studies. Perhaps he developed his megalomania & narcissism AFTER completing his studies.
