JCI has been one of my favorites for several years. I have it in a DRIP - they pay good dividends, split every few years and could be considered one of those "boring" stocks. But, with all the excitment in the tech revolution, and what happened to all of them - I LOVE BORING STOCKS!

They just keep trudging along, making their earnings, coming out with new products, minding their business and staying a good investment for shareholders. I bet there are many out there who have NEVER heard of Johnson Controls - I am glad I found out.

As for a split - they were about $80 before when they split. I think it will come sooner or later but obviously they didn't choose to announce it along with their earnings this quarter. This is one of those investments that I keep adding to on a regular basis through their DRIP.
