Thanks for your detailed response! I have opened up a dispute with Experian and Trans Union regarding this account and I'm waiting to see what BS reason they come up with regarding this account. I have actually called Citi and asked them about this card, but they have no knowledge and claim that they cannot find this account in their records. So if the CC issuer can't locate the item in their books, how in the world does the CRA have it on their record and can claim that the information will stay on till 2016??? I know you have shared your prior experience with Providian, but I think its a nasty game that these idiots are playing and pisses me off no end! I'm going to wait and see if I get a satisfactory response from Experian, if not I am going to consider stringent legal action against these guys. I'm also going to call Citi again and see if I can get a different CSR that might be willing to dig in a little deeper and figure out what's going on with that account and if indeed its still open in their books.
