You have to be careful using life expectancy estimates. No male on either side of my family lived to 75 (My brother came close at 74 & 4 mo, but he was very ill for the last 25 yrs of his life.). So naturally I thought I would check out before I was 75 (I also had a lot of illness before I was 35 but seemed to get better with age..). Well here I am going on 79, still playing doubles tennis (sometimes well). My lumbar is a pest, but I am pretty good otherwise. Who knows how much longer I have? Maybe I should have taken out long-term care insurance?
