Just say no to Fleas, I mean Fees. If your favorite discount broker charges them, find another. Many don't. You may also want to ask about fees to close the account or make withdrawals. I have IRAs with Scottrade, USAA, and Schwab without any maintenance fees. I seem to remember Brown, ETRADE, and Waterhouse didn't have fees when I last checked. Not sure of details or of the minimum balances required. I'd just start with your favorite and work your way down the list until you find the best deal for you.
