Just think 10 years from now, history will talk about those people who planned festivities during a Pandemic of the Century. Yeah, those people were nuts.

to be fair, this probably wasn't planned during the pandemic - was probably planned & dates picked a year ago.

The couple is probably just hoping things will loosen up enough that they don't lose ALL their deposits on:
the hall, the florist, the tuxes, the band/dj, the limo, the hotel, the dinner, the church, etc etc... which will happen if they cancel, possibly also happen if they reschedule.

If they try to reschedule, it is not only additional fees, but summer is probably booked up, already and then they're looking at October, or next year if it has to be a summer thing...
