Just to add to Jeff's note, we do actually provide a similar service to what Danny is suggesting over on AOL, where we re-up past picks that we continue to like.

Investment selections are intellectual property that we believe has value, and so as a for-profit entity looking to prosper over the next 50 years or so, we're generally looking for ways to maximize the value. For us that has meant moving "free" portfolios off our site into our newsletter, and fortunately some thousands of people have agreed there's value enough there to pay. I hope anyone reading this board who takes stock investing seriously and likes new ideas each month will at least think about taking the six-month free trial, if not the two-year rate!

And for past picks, the best way for us to maximize their value is to put them over on AOL, where we can interest potential new members of The Motley Fool in improving their financial decisions, laying aside the Wisdom, and donning Fool caps with us. So that's why the info is over there. Obviously, most of the rest of our services are available right here at, some free, some for pay -- my favorite probably being the one you're using right now.

Fool on!
