Just wanted to make a quick comment about LHSP. I've been itching to do so over at the SI thread, but as of yet, I've been too much of a tight wad to subscribe! Anyway...

I see mentioned in analyses of LHSP that their competitors include privately held Dragon Systems, and then there is no more said about this company. It is my unscientific impression that the Dragon Naturally Speaking product is in fact the industry leader, at least in the US (I don't actually have any hard market share info to back this up with, this is just my impression based on favorable reviews and folks I know who've recently bought voice recognition software). These guys should not to be brushed off just because they are not public (yet). Their stuff is for real and I understand that they hold numerous patents as well. I think any serious consideration of LHSP as a Gorilla needs to take full account of these strong competitors. As of now, I see LHSP as more of a Prince in a swiftly expanding royalty game. Still perhaps a very reasonable place to put one's money, but no Gorilla, IMHO.
