For those not lucky enough to live in the southland, KaRumpalumpaRumpa KaaaRump is the music we are being treated to this evening. Thunderstorms on the horizon. The promise of rain and a relief, however brief, from the oppresive heat and haze.

It is like music. Uplifting to the spirit.

Of course, it may not happen, the rain. It can skirt by you with only the thunder promise of relief and no cooling. Then you must rely on sitting on the porch with a Tiki citronela lamp and a WalMart fan on the deck to blow the skeeters away from your ankles. The GD gnats are a nice addition.

A Gin and Tonic helps. God bless the Queen. Make mine a triple.

If this sounds good, come on down. We be wait'on'ya, ya'hear.

Bring your own DEET. I'll supply the gin. Watchin' the lightnin' is free.
