I'm not sure anyone cares anymore, but Jim Kramer recommended WHR last week because of its Maytag acquisition, which he said put in a near-monopoly position in its industry.

My preliminary look tells me WHR is projected to make over $6/share in 2006 and about $9/share in 2007, which puts the stock at about 9X 207 earnings projections, with a current dividend of $1.72/share, I think.

I'm getting interested. Is there anyone out there who follows this big, unloved, company? What are the downsides?
