Congress never authorized US troops to be there, they are not there to defend the U.S. from anything, and there is no international mandate for their presence. In fact, they are there in violation of international law as they were not invited in by Syria & we are not at war with Syria.
In fact, they are there in violation of international law as they were not invited in by Syria & we are not at war with Syria. That Syrian op was also advocated by the USian corporate owned media. If you scroll back a few years, you may see my posts calling out CBS "news" for it's daily advocacy for US military intervention in Syria. I remember then anchor Scott Pelley introducing "rare inside look at suffering people in Syria", except they weren't rare, because they ran these pieces every day, the "suffering people" were the families of the rebels, and the voice-over of the interpreter claimed the "suffering" people were all saying "where is America? America has to help us". Steve
