I can't even fathom the irony in <me of all people> linking to a Los Angeles Times article to best describe an old friend of mine who was literally blown away while running TOWARDS the bullets in the Thousand Oaks massacre.

He will be greatly missed by many as reported by the Los Angeles Times....

“He was so absolutely proficient — if there’s anyone that could have survived the encounter last night, it would have been Ron,”

As reported by a witness...."Tim Dominguez was at the bar with his son. After the gunfire erupted, the two fled out the door, running to their car, Dominguez told CBS News. As he ran, Dominguez said he noticed an officer pulling up and charging into the bar, toward the gunfire.

I believe that’s the [sheriff's sergeant] that lost his life," Dominguez said. "I want to say I am so sorry for his family. He was a brave man to come into the shots because it was a scary situation for everyone, it really was."

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends who have lost so much, and the family and friends of all of the other victims, as they have lost so much too.
