I normally refrain from posting links to fanfiction, but I'm making an exception for a most unusual take. It's unique, funny, and clever, focusing on Charlotte Lucas's marriage to Mr Collins. There are sex scenes, but they're more amusing than erotic. So far, anyway. There are only 4 chapters to date.

I thought you were posting something about the British Supreme Court ruling on Brexit today. All their Supreme Court Judges are Lord's and Lady's -- it's pretty funny and quite posh.

I don't have the faintest idea of all the politics surrounding Brexit, but the voters clearly voted for it and ought to get that for which they voted.

But it's all so serious compared to whether Brett Kavanaugh might have wagged his willie thirty years ago!

I'm with you SP. I'm a big supporter of the Boris Johnson full-throttle, no-deal Brexit. It will be a wonderful, real-life economic experiment on the affects of mass bigotry and innumeracy on national policy. Academics will be studying it for decades.

The UK government’s own assessment of what a no-deal Brexit looks like is dire

But I wouldn't want to be a British soldier posted to the Northern Ireland border to man a customs & immigration checkpoint. There are few as racist and violent as the Irish -- just look at your Hannitys and Bill O'Reillys

Heh, heh! Shucks, the Irish, north and south, have annual occasions for riots, and that doesn't even include every time a soccer game is played!

And they brought their customs to the United States with the founding of Tammany Hall and such!

I'm morbidly curious as well. The Brexiteers have created sort of a Brexit purity test where the hardliners reject any proposal that isn't Brexit enough. Which has put them in the odd position where they demand mutually exclusive things.
