One more thing on TEXT with numbers:

If you use this in a cell that you want to use as a source for other "date-based" calculations, it will not work properly. This might be something like having a column where I subtract @TODAY from the expiration date to know how many days to expiration.

Typically, I leave dates in a numeric format and only convert them in the spot needed.
