Barry and Eliot Tatelman are among the largest Berkshire owners.

In October, 1999 the Tatelmans sold their business, Jordan's a Furniture, to Berkshire Hathaway, at an extremely favorable price just before Buffett offered to buy Berkshire stock back because it was so cheap. I remember I was stunned Buffett would trade deeply discounted Berkshire shares for this Furniture Business.

Jordan's Furniture is one of the best furniture businesses in the country. It's owners are clearly among the shrewdest Berkshire Billionaires around.

They sold out to Berkshire, made a 400% or so return in a decade and a half and NOTHING changed at the furniture store!
