Last year I received 2 amended 1099-DIV's; the last was in March. In California each amended form generates two amended returns: one federal and one state. I filed a total of SIX tax returns: the original return + 2 amendeds = 3 returns x 2 (state and federal) for a total of six returns.

I got every dollar back that I had coming to me.

From now on I can't file until the end of March, not because I'm procrastinating but because another amended 1099-DIV might materialize.
