ugggg this is so true.. I tried to convince myself to cancel Prime when it renews due to the price increase. Now $99 a year is still an extremely good value, however I don't get the most out of it:

The next real step will be when they can replace a cable/satellite box. What I want is one interface that controls streaming content as well as cable/satellite content.
