This quarter was a little concerning to me. Revenue growth was of 25% was great but margins dropped substantially and the increased spend rate significantly reduced earnings growth, down to 8%.

Maybe, but there are other considerations such as taxes, how close to expiration you are or even the possibility of dividend poaching, so maybe not.

I generally almost always close early if I can get close to max value.

Actually, the guidance was for $2.10 per contract - not sure where you got $2.30?

I got it from here, and mistakenly thought 2.30 was the guidance, my mistake.

I go by net cost, which is also max loss. In this case the guidance was $2.30 but is now at about $2.50, so lets say you settle for $2.50 instead of waiting and trying to get $2.30. That would be 8500/250 = 34 contracts of each leg.
