Last time I checked, 3.9 was less than 4.7, but maybe that's my elitist ejukayshun.

Not only that, the statistics weren't being fudged as much, as we all know the Bush administration likes to cover up the bad news.

And not-only-that #2: if you were really concerned about employment, rather than statistics you can spin, isn't the number of unemployed a more accurate read on the job market? See the previous post in this thread on those abysmal numbers. Also see Mish's post, on how the private sector has barely hired, while the public sector has become more bloated.

"Small government" indeed.
