@leohass, Not sure what you mean by "settled." Yes, industrialization was a positive thing economically over the long term. That doesn't change the fact that many people experienced it negatively, particularly in the early days.

As a student of history, you may be interested in reading "The Making of the English Working Class, " by E.P. Thompson. It's a classic work that provides remarkable insights into the early days of industrialization.
