I finished my first, super simple sleeveless top project several months ago. I learned a few lessons.

1. If you're even remotely heavy anywhere on your body, don't make something out of super-chunky yarn. You might as well put on ten pounds by eating Krispy Kremes.

2. Super-chunky yarn + cotton = major weight and massive droopage. The thing weighs a ton!

So the result of the first top: the weight of the sweater pulled the armholes past my bra straps after I wore it several times, making it look like a cross between a mint-green wife-beater and a fat suit. The sweater is now in my bag, ready to be unraveled and reknit into cushy blankets for homeless animals. At least it's not a total waste.

Since then, I've finished a gorgeous, complex cabled sweater that fits perfectly, so at least I know it's not my knitting skills that are questionable!
