Let's see ... gays get crucified for not being monogamous, yet there is no mechanism in place to recognize/codify monogamy for them.

Then, when a mechanism IS put in place to recognize/codify the monogamy, it is struck down on religious grounds by an elected official, and others say that gays can't be monogamous.


Tell you what, let's allow gay marriages for 20 years, and compare the divorce rate with straight couples over the same period. If the gay divorce rate is statistically significantly different (let's say 70% vs. the 50% of straight marriages), then we'll abolish gay marriages.


- you can't deny someone a right without even considering whether they can uphold the right first!
