Like yazar said sometime raising a stink helps.

I recently had to change my new home loan from one type to another because of bureaucratic idiocy. My spouses parents bought us out of the family farm, a business, because the description of the business included the words "acreage" the bank insisted that we disclose all the real estate documents. Its a working farm. The value is not merely in the land but in its future cash flow. No different than mom and pop buying out the "Son" from the drug store "Smith and Son". There is no real estate deal therefor no real estate paper trail. Because we cannot prove a transaction that did not occur that money cannot be used for a loan.

After barking at multiple folks from multiple levels I have come to the conclusion that currently banks fear the regulators. If they might have to argue the point with the regulators they want no part in it. They are making irrational business decisions and remaining rediculously conservative in order to not raise a flag or have to defend a decision.

In your case I would suspect that you may need to talk to someone well off the floor, someone who sits in a comfy office. If they read the document and you patiently explain it to them they will realize it is a verification of an account and possibly assets and does not put them on the hook for anything.

Keep trying and be insistent.
