There's a little square room in our basement, roughly 6' on each side and 6' tall, and raised off the floor about a foot. A small window is at the top of the far wall level with the ground. It has a wooden door and a column windows looking into the basement, and we're wondering what this room was originally used for. We've nicknamed it the "Crazy Uncle Room," but we're thinking it may have been a coal bin. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? The house was built in 1874.

Uhura :o)
